The Duchess of Sussex’s comments arrived in an in-depth conversation with The Cut. And as part of that process, Meghan opened up on moving to Montecito following her exit with Harry from the Royal Family in 2020.
And now that they are living happily with their two children, Meghan could not help but reminisce about the process that led to it all.
In her comments, she said: “One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees.
“See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.’ And now every day when Archie goes by us, he says, ‘Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.”

Meghan’s comments go some way to dispelling the claim that Harry is not settled in the United States. And as the couple ended up purchasing the home for a reported $14.65m, Meghan had no regrets.
After having taken such a huge sacrifice by leaving the Royal Family knowing that they were walking away from a life of duty, Markle was adamant that this was the correct decision.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “We did everything we could to get this house. Because you walk in and go…Joy. And exhale. And calm. It’s healing. You feel free.”
Nevertheless, not everything has been smooth sailing. The couple’s residence has been impacted by numerous incidents.
One report indicated that locals were not happy by an alleged foul smell coming within the vicinity of the couple’s property. Meanwhile, another report indicated the presence of a mountain lion that people had to be wary of.
But putting that aside, Meghan appears to be happier than ever. And that is the most important thing regardless of what others have to say about it all.
