Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking to rebrand themselves as ‘rebel royals.’
Harry And Meghan Looking To Rebrand As Rebel Royals-‘Potential To Appeal To Millennials,’ Says Professor Pauline MacLaren
That is according to royal expert Professor Pauline MacLaren. This claim does have credence when we look at the perception towards the pair.
Meghan’s podcast ‘Archetypes’ on Spotify is crucial in doing that. Despite being number one on the platform and outdoing Joe Rogan in the process, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield suggested that the views were based on “hate watching or hate listening.”
This was seen when Meghan caused outrage by referring to the accommodation that she had stayed in during her Royal South African tour as a “housing unit.’ With that being said, there is a feeling that it is Harry and Meghan against the world.
In her comments, Pauline said: “It is certainly damaging to their brand to be pushed aside by the royals.
“Although it does presently set them up as a rebel brand with good potential to appeal to Millennials with their alternative visions of how to do royalty and humanitarian work.”

Much in the same way, Harry appears to have a rebel side as shown by his recent actions on climate change. The Duke of Sussex has been an advocate on the need to tackle one’s carbon footprint.
And yet, he had reportedly used a private jet for a 90-minute flight in order to play a game of polo. That was seen as a slap in the face for all of those who had to listen to the Duke’s concerns on climate.
The response on social media suggested that the pair were rebels, as shown by the increasing number of disapproving comments towards them.
One person wrote: “If that useless Harry is not born a Prince they are nobody and no better that most in the US. That useless Harry went to the University but came out without anything.”
Harry and Meghan do need to rebrand themselves, but on current reflection, perhaps they need to change tactics. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
