Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of trying to create a rival Royal family to further The Duchess of Sussex’s USA political ambitions.
Harry And Meghan Are ‘Trying To Create An Alternative Woke Royal Family,’ Says Royal Expert Angela Levin
That is according to royal expert Angela Levin. This claim arrives on the back end of accusations that Markle failed to modernise the Royal family.
It was hoped that Meghan’s arrival would have shaken up the institution, as she was a bi-racial member of the Royal family.
In addition, it was hoped that her inclusion would have increased diversity. While that may have been the case, the Harry and Meghan ended up going their separate ways in 2020.
But in the process of doing so, they have still maintained some connections to the UK by carrying out their charitable works. They are set to visit the UK once again in September for the ‘One Young World Summit,’ and the ‘WellChild Awards.’
In addition, their decision to renew the lease for Frogmore Cottage demonstrates that they have no intention of giving up any UK influence they have. But this is in an attempt to rival the royals at least according to Angela.
In her comments, she said: “I’ve thought for a long time that Harry and Meghan are trying to create an alternative woke royal family, the grandeur and the pomp and circumstance that surrounds them.”
The primary driving force behind this move has been Meghan, which Angela has made known quite clearly.
There has always been speculation over whether Markle would enter into US politics since her interventions have already shown she has a keen interest in political affairs.
This was most notably seen when she wrote a letter to the House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi, advocating paid parental leave. And that influence of being connected to royalty is too much to give up.
Angela’s following comments confirmed as much: “When Meghan goes anywhere, she always uses her royal title. Now, why do that if you don’t actually like the royal family and you wanted to get shot of them?”
