Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had reportedly called an emergency meeting following Netflix’s decision to cancel their animated series ‘Pearl.’
Harry And Meghan Allegedly Had Emergency Meeting After Netflix Cancelled Their Animated Series ‘Pearl’-‘Meghan Wanted To Talk To The CEO Of Netflix’
The series was going to be centred around the adventures of a 12-year-old girl, who gave people an insight into some of the most influential women that ever existed in history. But that dream was soon put to bed when the network decided to cancel the series.
It is claimed that this decision may have been made in order to save the network some costs, as the subscriber numbers were dwindling. With that being said, the couple were apparently worried about the next steps going forward.
A source confirmed the following: “Harry and Meghan called an all-hands meeting. They were deeply concerned about the optics of this. Meghan wanted to talk to Ted [Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix].”
Nevertheless, it is important to read those comments in light of the following factors. First of all, it is possible for any series to get cancelled. This does not necessarily mean that Harry and Meghan’s project lacked any merit.
Secondly, since that moment, Meghan has hit back by seeing her podcast ‘Archetypes’ go number one on Spotify. And in the process of doing so, she knocked off Joe Rogan.
Lastly, in any event, another source counters the claims that there was an emergency meeting held. The fans on social media had a lot to say about this.
A certain subset of people were of the view that perhaps Harry and Meghan made a mistake in leaving the Royal Family. After all, they did have access to more resources at their disposal.
One person wrote: “Grass isn’t always greener on the other side.” The couple will surely have many projects in the pipeline, and one of those is Harry’s tell-all memoir.
And if that generates as much publicity as Meghan podcast, then he will have done well. Time will tell. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
