Prince William and Kate Middleton are unlikely to meet the Sussexes during their US visit next month.
William And Kate Unlikely To Meet Harry And Meghan On US Trip As Sussexes ‘Have Their Own Agenda,’ Says Royal Expert Richard Fitzwilliams
That is according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. The Cambridge’s are set to attend the ‘Earth Shot’ initiative which is designed to pay homage to those that have taken steps to help the environment.
The event is set to take place on Wednesday, September 21st 2022. The event is going to be hosted by former mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg. But any chances of the two brothers meeting up have been dashed, as royal duties will take precedence.
In his comments, Richard said: “The brothers are unlikely to see each other when Harry is in Britain.
“And William’s event linked to the Earthshot Prize in New York has no connection with the Sussexes, who are based in California and have their own agenda.”
This is entirely understandable for the following reasons. First of all, during Harry and Meghan’s recent visit for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, the Cambridges were also not able to make time for the Sussexes.
This even included a situation where they reportedly turned down an opportunity to attend Lilibet’s birthday. Secondly, there is the danger of stepping onto each other’s turf, as Harry has shown that he is trying to rebrand himself.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes the Cambridge’s will be preoccupied with many things. She stated: “I imagine that Prince William and Catherine have a busy schedule and will arrive, complete their tasks, and return to a diary full of other commitments.”
In reality, this is not a surprise. Since Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast has been critical of certain aspects of her royal life, the chances of there being a reconciliation are unlikely since the Duchess of Sussex has a total of 12 episodes.
