Joe Rogan is passionate almost about everything he believes in and to prove his point he doesn’t back off from using everything in his arsenal. That’s why, when speaking about abortion and women’s rights he chose to drag in his 14-year-old daughter into the conversation.
In a recent episode of his podcast, the controversial Joe Rogan says he is completely weighing in on ‘women’s rights to choose’. He referenced the recent reversal of the Roe v Wade ruling in some states of the US.
Joe Rogan Weighs In On The Abortion Debate – You have no right to tell my 14-year-old daughter that she must carry her rapist’s baby
“There are women who have been raped who should not have to carry a rapist’s baby.” – Rogan said. “There are women who were victims of a sexual assault before the age of 14.”
The guest for the show was Seth Dillon, Joe’s long-time friend. He is a founder and a CEO of the satirical news site The Babylon Bee. In this episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, we find out that he is pro-life-oriented.
“There are people who were born of rape and are alive right now who are pro-life.” – Dillon said. “They’re speaking up and saying, ‘I had a right to live.’ They’re going around and making a case, and they were born of rape.”
Rogan once more opposed Dillon’s views on the matter and involved his daughter in the conversation.
“You have no right to tell a 14-year-old girl that she has to carry the baby of a rapist. Do you understand what you are saying? Nevertheless, you have no right to tell my 14-year-old daughter that she must carry her rapist’s baby.” – Rogan said.
Joe is a biological father to two daughters, Lola, 14 years old, and Rosy, 12. When he married Jessica Ditzel, with whom he shares the daughters, she had one daughter from her previous marriage. Joe accepted her and raised her like his own.
“You understand this is a 14-year-old. A 14-year-old is a victim of a rape, you say they have to carry this baby?” – Rogan continued. You could hear and see that he is truly passionate about the topic.
However, this did not alter Dillon’s views at all. He remains firm on his opinion. “I don’t think two wrongs make a right. I don’t think murder fixes a rape.” – Dillon said.
While this conversation between the two gained a lot of attention, the ‘pro-life’ activist Lola Rose shared it on Twitter. Comments included some surprised Twitterati who expected Rogan to be pro-life as well. The public considers Rogan to be conservative, so they find it surprising that he is against the abortion rule.
“People will say like, ‘Oh, you know, you’re a secret conservative.’ Like you can suck my d – k.” – Rogan says.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m so far from being a Republican.” – Rogan says. “Just because I believe in the Second Amendment and just because I support the military and just because I support the police.”
