The claim is in relation to the criticism that Harry and Meghan are exploiting the Royal family for the purposes of money. This has been reinforced by claims that the Oprah Winfrey interview was designed to rebrand themselves and exploit the royals.
In addition, Harry’s tell-all memoir and the Netflix docuseries is further evidence of that. Not only that, but the couple are set to visit the UK next month which has fuelled claims that it is being done for money.
While that may be the case, William and Kate have been slammed for not earning their own money. After all, one of the heavy criticisms levelled against the Royal Family has been the fact that the taxpayer funds them.
And even if you dislike Harry and Meghan, their supporters have stated that they at the very least fund their own lifestyle. And it all came to a head with the news that William and Kate are moving within half a mile of Harry and Meghan’s Frogmore Cottage.

One person wrote: “Britain making a noise and losing their heads because Harry and Meghan purchased a home with their own money meanwhile…Please see Will and Kate’s three homes below…which YOU pay for.”
While another person stated: “Don’t you guys just love Harry and Meghan’s home in Montecito which was purchased with money they actually worked for.”
Nevertheless, not everyone was satisfied. Harry and Meghan’s critics suggested that it was the manner in which the money was being earned that raised serious questions.
After all, it is one thing leaving the Royal Family but an entirely different thing when the institution is being exploited for dollars. Another person stated: “Please tell me what work Harry did to buy it- he has never had a real job. I’m waiting.”
