The student in question, Aker Okoye, was a Head boy at the time at Robert Clack Upper School, Dagenham. During Meghan’s visit to the school, she challenged a male to speak up about International Women’s Day.
That is when Aker came to the fore, but in doing so, he could not help but marvel at the Duchess of Sussex’s beauty. In his comments at the time, he said: “She really is beautiful, innit?”
Fast forward today, Aker’s life has moved on since then. He has managed to achieve three A grades during the recent A Level results. And in the process of doing so, he has secured himself a place at Jesus College to study education.
While Aker should take all the credit, there is no denying that Meghan’s presence showed that anything was possible. Meghan did after all become a bi-racial member of the Royal family.
Not only that, but she was a self-made millionaire and did not have the benefit of coming from a wealthy family unlike Kate Middleton whose parents have a reported net worth of $67 million.
Royal expert Robert Lacy said as much: “There is only one self-made millionaire in the Royal Family and that is Meghan Markle.
“If they had sat down with her at the start and said, “Let’s talk about the things you are interested in”, things might have been different.”
The fans on social media had a lot of praise for Aker’s achievements. And they wished him the best for his future endeavours come what may.
One person wrote: “Aker Okoye achieved the top score of 3A* in A-Levels in Economics, History and Sociology. His LinkedIn profile is already impressive for an 18-year old. Tomorrow’s Hope!”
