Tensions hit an all-time high on Big Brother after contestant Daniel Durston unleashed an explosive tirade against fan-favorite Taylor. The unique aspect of this reality show is that in addition to televised episodes, viewers can also log on to a 24 hour live feed to watch unedited and uncensored happenings inside the Big Brother house. Loyal fans of the show have witnessed just how despicable Durston has been in some of his finest moments, but up until Wednesday night’s episode CBS had not aired much footage of his poor behavior.
Durston solidified his status as Season 24’s resident villain when he went nuclear on Taylor Hale, a contestant he has been targeting since the first week of the game. Durston and his ally, Nicole Layong, have spewed hatred toward Taylor Hale and while attempting to get her evicted from the Big Brother house. Durston took his disdain for Hale to new heights after he received misinformation from another cast member, causing him to lose his cool in front of several other houseguests.

“Don’t speak to me until the finale… the same s**t you did to Paloma, you’re doing to her. You can f**k right off,” Durston screamed at Hale, who initially thought he was joking. But his vitriol was quite serious, as he blamed Hale for the eviction of former castmate Paloma Aguilar.
“No, stop,” Durston continued. “I will never forget what you did to Paloma. You think she didn’t spiral because of you? You didn’t add to that? And now you’re trying to do it to Nicole, the mind games?” Hale was reduced to tears and profusely attempted to apologize to Layong after Durston stormed off, but her efforts were disregarded.
Fans of the show are in an uproar over the way that Daniel Durston and his cohorts have exhibited aggressive behavior toward Taylor Hale. Many have accused Durston of having microaggressions and bias against Hale, who is the only black female in the house. “Daniel Durston and Nicole Layog are the worst big brother houseguests I’ve ever seen. Their treatment of Taylor Hale has been so disgusting to witness,” one user on Twitter said, while another said” I’m so close to breaking into that Big Brother house and humbling Daniel myself.”
Another Twitter user called for production to step in and take Durston out of the game. “Daniel should be removed from the house for that behavior… Taylor should be concerned about her health and safety.” Another person on Twitter echoed those sentiments, saying, “No Daniel. What America is watching is the blatant racism and isolation towards Taylor in this house since day 1” while a separate account insisted, “Daniel and Nicole are out here looking stupid as hell. Possibly the most hated contestants on this show”.
Big Brother alum Janelle Pierzina tweeted, “Daniel is such a punk I want to beat his ass” while Season 18 winner Josh Martinez wrote, “Daniel & Nicole are so f**king weird.” As of now, all of the aforementioned cast members still remain in the house, but as host Julie Chen always says, ‘Always expect the unexpected’ when it comes to this game.
