Maintaining and keeping alive a long-distance relationship is not an easy job. It takes dedication, determination, love, and lots of trust. Vitali Klitschko had what looked like the perfect long-distance relationship with his wife of 26 years. However, now, after 26 years the love had come to an end.
While Vitali Klitschko claims that he is still in a ‘very good communication’ with Natalia, living in different countries and having completely different interests had taken its toll.
Vitali Klitschko Divorces His Wife Of 26 Years After Long Time Living Apart
The ex-heavyweight boxer is now the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. As the first person in the city, he is working with no pause or rest ever since the first day of the Russian invasion of his homeland. People often see him on the fronts helping his fellow brave Ukrainian soldiers, and for the rest of the time, he is in the office – working. Life is busy for Vitali Klitschko.
While he is struggling in Kyiv, his wife Natalia is in Germany, working and living there for years.
Vitali married Natalia back in 1996. Allegedly, they met and fell in love in Kyiv. It is only after being separated from each other for some time that they suddenly decided on a serious step.
Now, after more than a quarter a century together, Klitschko confirms that they had officially filed for divorce.
“We filed for divorce together because we have been living apart for years and now want to make it official. We have a very good relationship and respect each other, but we’ve been living separately in different cities for a long time.” – Vitali told Bild.
The couple shares three children together, Yegor Daniel, 22 years old, Elizabeth Victoria, 19 years old, and the youngest, Max, 16 years old.
Natalia, the ex-spouse of Kyiv’s mayor, works as a yoga teacher in Germany, and she is half German half Ukrainian. She takes part in helping people that suffer from the Ukrainian war, by accepting and arranging shelter for refugees.
We all know Vitali Klitschko mostly from his boxing career. He has a professional record of 45-2 and got hold of the WBO and WBC heavyweight titles throughout his career. He got into politics in 2014 when he ran for mayor of Kyiv for the first time. Ever since he has been unbeaten in the run for mayor.
Klitschko takes part in the raging war, participating in combat, and fighting in the first rows, alongside his fellow residents.
