Gallus made an instant impact on NXT 2.0, attacking Diamond Mine on their first night there. Tonight, this dominant NXT UK faction will take on three core members of Diamond Mine, with Damon Kemp teaming with the NXT Tag Team Champions, The Creed Brothers. Roderick Strong isn’t even in the corner of Diamond Mine tonight, with Julius Creed unsure on if he can really trust Strong or not. It’s an explosive set up for a trios match, especially with Worlds Collide coming this Sunday.
Gallus Defeats Diamond Mine, Massive Brawl Breaks Out
Julius Creed would kick things off with Joe Coffey, and took him right down to the mat. A gutwrench suplex would land, before Brutus tagged in. Mark Coffey would match the power of Brutus, but was taken to the mat and hit with a Gutwrench Suplex. Damon Kemp tagged in and looked for the German Suplex, but Wolfgang would shut him down.
Kemp would hit some mat returns, before driving Wolfgang into the corner. Brutus would get the tag and apply the headlock, before trying to smash Wolfgang. Gallus hit the ring, and Diamond Mine would take them down and hit some clubbing blows. Sent to the floor, Gallus would take a chance to regroup.
Mark Coffey would get into the ring with Julius Creed, but would end up in the Diamond Mine corner, and bounced between the tag champions with some knee strikes to the midsection. Kemp kept the pressure on, before Joe Coffey got the tag… and dumped with a suplex. Coffey would be put into the ankle lock, with Gallus pulling him from the ring.
Finally gaining some control, Coffey would hit some knee strikes to the spine of Julius, before applying the double arm choke. Wolfgang would get the tag and hit a running senton, before a tight front headlock. Julius broke free and got Kemp in the ring, and he’d throw fast strikes and faster suplexes as Gallus hit the ring.
Roderick Strong hit the ringside area with proof he didn’t attack Julius Creed, but his phone was stomped. Back in the ring – Joe Coffey nailed a lariat for the victory. Pretty Deadly hit the ring, with Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen close behind – and it’s looking like a four way match at Worlds Collide!
It’s Not A Big NXT Event Without Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes isn’t keen on being left off the card for the upcoming Worlds Collide special, and intends to do something about it. He’s the A-Champion of all of NXT, and wants someone from NXT UK to try and step up to take that title away from him, and is even ready to put the NXT North American Championship on the line as well.
Trick Williams would say that there is no premium live event without Carmelo Hayes. There’s no time for jokes tonight, Hayes is the best North American Championship. All this talk of unification? Hayes did this months ago. They told him that belt was a secondary title, and he made it the top belt of NXT 2.0. However, Hayes will not be defending the belt at Worlds Collide – because there is no one on his level.
They’d finish up, before the lights went out. There’s one and only man who would show up, and a former NXT North American Champion in Ricochet. Fans have been wanting to see Ricochet back in NXT, and he’d tell Hayes & Williams to shut up for five seconds. He wants to throw some blue brand in the mix of Worlds Collide, and wants to show that Hayes can’t hang in the ring with Ricochet.
Hayes would claim to be the One & Only – while Ricochet is one of many to step up to the A-Champion, and get stepped on. Ricochet wants to give the NXT fans a memorable match from Carmelo Hayes, and intends to become a two time North American Champion.
Will Ricochet leave Worlds Collide as NXT North American Champion? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
