Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuG_TOtBEfc

Tonight should be an interesting one with Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre will come face to face weeks before they meet at Clash at the Castle for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

But there could be a twist as Karrion Kross will be lurking, waiting for the perfect time to send another message.

We’ll be back with some popcorn at the 8 p.m. EST start time and we’ll kick WWE Smackdown Live Results into gear.

    Segment 1

Ronda Rousey took over the show early on and demanded to be reinstated after paying her fine, and Adam Pearce tried to talk her down while saying it’s above his pay grade to lift her suspension.

She took out the security team and locked in an armbar on one before the police showed up and she left peacefully with the police and in handcuffs.

As she left in a police car, another pulled in and Roman Reigns got out the back.

    Segment 2

First Round Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament – Sonya Deville and Natalya vs. Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolan and Jacy Jayne)

Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY joined the fans behind Pat McAfee for this one.

Toxic Attraction took over early as they showed their stuff and threw Natalya into the ring steps as we headed to commercial.

    Segment 3

While Bayley mocked Deville on the flor, Natalya took it to Dolan, but Jayne tagged in and rolled Natalya up for the win while Natalya had the sharpshooter locked in on Dolan.

Pretty good match and debut by Toxic Attraction and they’re heading to round 2.

Backstage, Sami Zayn went to see Reigns as requested, and Sami didn’t waste any time in outing Jey Uso for calling him out for not carrying his weight.

Reigns agreed that Jey’s unappreciative, and Jey called to say he’s having trouble at the border.

    Segment 4

Max and Maxxine DuPri were in the ring when Hit Row came out to interrupt them and they sent Maximum Male Models to the floor to give a performance announcing they’re back.

    Segment 5

Sheamus vs. Madcap Moss vs. Happy Corbin vs. Ricochet vs. Sami Zayn

This started off fast, and Corbin caught Ricochet off the ropes with a chokeslam for a pin attempt everyone broke up and the group paired off as we headed to commercial.

    Segment 6

Corbin dominated for the first part, then Ricochet took over, followed by Sheamus in a physically brutal match.

Zayn hit a Blue Thunder Bomb on Ricochet for a near pinfall, then repeated the attempt on Madcap Moss with the same result.

Sheamus hit a White Noise on Zayn and he headed to the back as the other laid each other out as we headed to commercial.

    Segment 7

The action continued with Corbin continuing to catch Ricochet coming off the ropes and hitting a hit impact move only to have Ricochet find a way to stay alive.

Zayn got a standing ovation on his return after leaving due to injury, and he suckered Ricochet in and hit an Helluva Kick for the pin, but Corbin pulled him off and to the floor.

Sheamus hit Corbin with a Brogue Kick for the win as Corbin focused on Ricochet.

    Segment 8

A video played from earlier today where the Viking Raiders held a viking funeral for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods since they’ve been taken out of action.

    Segment 9

    Liv Morgan vs. Shotzi

Liv came out aggressive, but Shotzi was up to the challenge and hit a draping DDT on the ring apron as we headed to commercial.

    Segment 10

After Shotzi dominated most of the match, Liv rallied to hit a double knee and an Oblivion for the win.

Shayna Baszler attacked Liv after the match and faked stomping her injured left arm and kicked her after she told Liv she’ll break her arm and take her title at Clash at the Castle.

    Segment 11

Why wait for #WWECastle?@WWERomanReigns and @DMcIntyreWWE give us a preview on #SmackDown! pic.twitter.com/BYo6mKioD4

    — WWE (@WWE) August 20, 2022

After he was acknowledged, Reigns said he’s not there every week and people say stupid stuff. He explained anyone that comes out and claims they’re the main event or carried the company on their back they’re lying.

As soon as he dissed McIntyre, Drew came out and they circled each other in the ring.

Drew called him out for not deserving to be champion for not being there, and he claimed he saw fear in Reigns’ eyes without the Usos there to back him up.

Drew felt like a fight and they exchanged rights before Drew suplexed him across the ring, but Zayn stepped between them to take a Claymore and Reigns his a Superman Punch.

Drew countered Reigns’ spear with a Claymore and then stood over Reigns with the titles in his hands.

This was a great show with a fun ending. What did you all think about it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Live Results.

We had a blast and can’t wait for next week.

    See you then!
