Tonight, we will find out who the #1 contender for the Undisputed AEW World Champion – as we have the Casino Ladder match. Wheeler Yuta & Rey Fenix would start this match, with Claudio Castagnoli, Andrade El Idolo, Penta Oscuro, RUSH, Dante Martin and a joker to come. It’s high stakes and likely to get dangerous – unless someone ends it early.
Chaos From The Opening Bell
Fenix would waste no time taking control, hitting a rolling solebutt to the jaw. Yuta would almost be hit with a cutter onto a ladder on the floor, but would fight free and throw Fenix onto the ladder instead before a Tope Suicida into the steel. You can technically win the match before anyone else showed up – but RUSH would hit the ring as Yuta would set a ladder up.
He’d make the ring in time to stop Yuta from making the climb, and hitting the elbow smash to the jaw before suplexing him into the steel of the ladder. Fenix was on the outside, and RUSH would soar over the top rope onto his fellow luchador, before whipping him with the camera cables. Andrade El Idolo was up next, putting two members of La Faccion Ingobernable in this match.
RUSH would start the climb, before backing off when Andrade hit the ring. Andrade would help to set up a bridging ladder, and instead of ending the match – they would look to punish rival Rey Fenix some more. Yuta made the climb, and Andrade would follow him up – and take him down with a flipping powerbomb.
Claudio Castagnoli would hit the ring next, and ran right for RUSH with an uppercut. He’d look for the climb but was stopped by Andrade. Claudio would flaunt his power and tip Andrade from the ring using the ladders.
Dante Martin hit the ring next, and a ladder fell on him as he hit the ring. He’d remain on his feet, before leaping to the chip from the ropes but was stopped by Yuta. Claudio looked for the uppercut, but Martin just landed on the ladder before they both spilled to the floor.
Mystery Man Claims The Win – Possibly MJF?
Penta El Zero Meido would hit the ring, getting a destroyer on Martin on the ramp and Slingblade on the floor before getting in. A superkick to Yuta would follow, and a backstabber to Claudio – before Andrade would take a destroyer on the ladder.Fenix put RUSH through a table in the background – while Claudio & Yuta set up the ladder in the ring.
Martin sprung onto the shoulders of Claudio, but some men in ski-masks charged the ring to take everyone down and set up the ladder. Someone climbed the ladder and took the chip, and it was Stokely Hathaway. He wasn’t in the match, but his faction held the ring as The Joker hit the ring. Ethan Page, Lee Moriarty, Colton & Austin Gunn and W. Morrisey made up the troops.
Coming out to Sympathy for The Devil and wearing a mask, no one knew who this was exactly – but he was to be handed the chip and the win. The music would be cut, and he’d finally unmask… or not. They had the mannerisms of MJF – but we will need to wait and see.
