PAC & Orange Cassidy are no strangers in AEW – and PAC is sick and tired of dealing with him. Tonight, PAC will be putting his AEW All-Atlantic Championship on the line against Orange Cassidy, who has been more motivated than ever before the claim gold in AEW – especially after Death Triangle shut down Best Friends chances at claiming the AEW World Trios Championship. PAC viewed Irange Cassidy as being beneath him on the build to this match, claiming he doesn’t even belong in the same ring as PAC.
MJF Rips Into The Blackpool Combat Club
Before this match, Wheeler Yuta was to be interviewed about tonights main event of Jon Moxley vs. Bryan Danielson. MJF would cut him off – and quickly looked to steal the spotlight. He’d say the crowd worships the ground he walks upon – and said that Yuta looks confused because he’ll never get a reaction like that in his life. Yuta doesn’t have a crowd who loves them like MJF, a crowd would drink his spit and let them sleep with their wives (which MJF would deny because he has standards).
Yuta would call MJF the “King of The Low Hanging Fruit”, and would say that MJF’s fiance will quickly learn he’s a spineless piece of garbage who abandons people. However, MJF would say he is just here to offer some love for the men in the main event, who are fighting for a chance to lose the belt to MJF.
MJF would rip into Danielson calling him injury prone, claiming Moxley is not all there – and that Regal can just teach people to pop pills. Yuta would take MJF down, before W. Morrissey would come from behind and hold him in place for the ring assisted punch to the face. Tony Schiavone would be attacked by MJF as well, which is low even for him – but he was back at the desk and fine to call the All-Atlantic Championship match.
Orange Cassidy Plays Mind Games
Orange Cassidy would throw his sunglasses at PAC, before being able to roll him up for a two count. PAC would avoid the Orange Punch, slipping out to the floor. Back in the ring, PAC would be able to drive OC face first into the turnbuckle – before choking him on the apron with his boot.
PAC continued to press the advantage on the outside, before driving OC head first off the ring post. OC would find his feet on the floor, only for PAC to hit a picture perfect dive over the top rope. In the ring, a missile shotgun dropkick would land – before a cocky cover with his knee getting PAC a one count.
PAC would hit a crown elbow to the top of the head – before a deadlift German Suplex got a two count. OC would remain in the fight, just pissing PAC off before taking a boot to the face. PAC would try for the Black Arrow – but OC would roll away, only to take a German Suplex.
PAC Lives Up To His Nickname
OC would get the near fall off a roll up, before PAC would block the DDT – but took the Stundog Millionaire and the suicide dive. OC would head up top and hit the diving DDT before kipping back up to his feet. Satellite DDT would land, but only brought a two count.
Orange Punch was blocked into a Northern Lights Suplex before the Brutalizer was blocked. OC would nail the Orange Punch, but PAC got the rope break at the last possible second. On the floor, PAC was able to use the bell hammer to hit OC in the head – and rolled OC into the ring to claim the pinfall. Really lived up to his nickname of The Bastard tonight. The referee realised after the bell, and would berate PAC – but the match was already over.
