Last Wednesday – Chris Jericho would win the ROH World Championship. Alongside Daniel Garcia as ROH Pure Rules Champion, it’s time to celebrate some major victories for the Jericho Appreciation Society. Tonight – they have that celebration – with Jericho calling for that after becoming ‘The Ocho’.
Jericho Appreciation Society Celebrates Two Recent Title Wins
Luigi Primo was there in the ring to provide the pizza, flipping the dough while the fans had a chance to appreciate some winners in the ‘City of Losers’, Philadelphia. Angelo Parker would say it’s time to celebrate The Ocho himself, Chris Jericho. Matt Menard made the call to get Luigi Primo, who made New York Style pizza – and it’s all for the Jericho Appreciation Society.
This prompted a ‘we want pizza’ chant, and while they won’t get that – they do get the greatest ROH World Champion of all time. He’s already the most viewed ROH World Champion of all time, because before he won the belt – no one even knew what Ring of Honor was! He’s going to change that, as he proves it’s actually Ring of Jericho.
Later tonight, he will defend against Bandido – a man who Jericho would hype up as a great professional wrestler. However, a great sports entertainer always wins. Speaking of greats sports entertainers, Jericho would try and hype Daniel Garcia up – who was just looking pissed off. He’d punch out Primo, before saying he’s had enough.
Daniel Garcia Is Ready To Make A Choice
This is not how he pictured his career going, and has wanted to get something off his chest for a long time now. He was ready to leave the faction, but Jericho asked him to make the right choice. Bryan Danielson would come to the ring and said that if Garcia wants to join Blackpool Combat Club – it’s his choice. He controls his own fate.
However, Jericho would claim that Garcia belongs to him – not helping his case. Garcia doesn’t belong to anyone, but wants to entertain. He’d ask if tagging with Danielson would be entertaining. Maybe against Guevara & Jericho.
Matt Menard would fire up, saying that he and Parker stood by Garica when Garcia had nothing. They made him someone in AEW – and he should punch Danielson in the face. Danielson would take this in stride, saying he’s always ready for a match – and would call for that match to happen.
Daddy Magic vs. The American Dragon
The bell would ring, and Menard would shove Danielson – before taking some mid-kicks on the ropes. Danielson would prove his technical skills on the mat – working over the arm of Menard. Menard would be able to avoid a top rope attack by shoving Danielson down to the floor – before driving him into the barricades.
Back in the ring, Menard would press the advantage by choking Danielson in the ropes. Some knee strikes and punches would follow, Menard focusing on a rough brawling style – which was paying off. Danielson would be able to remain in the fight, and would fire hard chops into the corner – before nailing the running elbow butt to the face. A trio of running dropkicks would follow, sending Menard to the floor. Wrecking Ball dropkick would land, before Parker would help Menard avoid a running knee strike.
Powerbomb in the ring would get a two count, before Claudio Castagnoli would come and remove Parker from ringside by carrying him away. Running knee in the ring would be followed by the LeBell lock for the finish.
