At All Out, we saw Jungle Boy finally become “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. Sadly, what followed was a massacre, as Luchasaurus would completely betray his former partner. Christian Cage was able to claim the quick victory, but is out injured. Now – Jack Perry is looking to start a hot streak while he waits for Cage to heal up, and has called for an open challenge here tonight. Jay Lethal would accept – and he’s no boy, he’s a goddamn man.
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry Shows Some Technical Skills By Overcoming Jay Lethal
Perry had his back still covered in tape after being chokeslammed onto the pyro grid, but got right into the fight against Lethal. Lethal would block the arm drag before failing the hip toss. Perry got the arm drag the second time around, before nailing a dropkick to the jaw.
Lethal would look for the Dragon Screw but was countered into a pinfall, before Perry would send Lethal out to the floor. A battle on the apron would follow, before Perry would be dropped hard on his back. Lethal would focus on the back with a snap suplex, and commentary discussed Perry returning to the ring too soon.
He’d avoid the chops from Lethal in the corner – before hitting the comebacker lariat. Perry kept the fight coming before a flying elbow strike. He’d avoid the Lethal Injection and hit a brainbuster. Lethal would come back with a Russian Leg Sweep out of the corner – before looking for Lethal Injection.
Perry countered into an attempt at the Killswitch, before taking the Lethal Combination. Suicide dive kept the pressure on before a diving elbow for the two count. Perry would apply the Snare Trap in the ring, and Dutt would run interference before Lethal was trapped again – and had no choice but to tap out.
After the match, wrestling’s greatest pizza chef was here with Luigi Primo – before Ethan Page booted him in the face. He’d challenge Danhausen to a match this Friday on Rampage, pledging to start taking out the jokes of AEW piece by piece.
Powerhouse Hobbs Is Not Paid By The Hour
Matt DiMartino would make his AEW debut in his home town, but had the misfortune of sharing the ring with Powerhouse Hobbs. Not even a minute after the match began, a spinebuster landed and this match was over.
Hobbs grabbed the microphone after the match and acknowledged that Ricky Starks may be tough – but it’s time to move onto a new page of his career. Starks would come down through the crowd, before driving Hobbs from the ring with a bloody mouth. They are far from done, and Starks is ready for proper revenge.
