Spoilers are an interesting thing as it’s fun to know what’s coming, but they can also remove any sense of surprise. Usually, they come via fans who recorded the events or shared them with a friend and things grow from there.
Thanks to the Wrestling Observer, we now know the outcome for AEW Rampage this Friday (9/23) following their TV tapings following Dynamite (9/21).
The biggest big of news to come out of the spoilers is Jon Moxley’s next opponent.
Lining them up
In Rampage’s co-main event, Hangman Page will earn a shot at Moxley’s AEW world title on October 18’s AEW Dynamite after he won the Golden Ticket Battle Royal.
The match featured Hangman Page, Rush, The Butcher, The Blade, Dark Order, Private Party, Danhausen, Dante Martin, Penta El 0 M, Brian Cage, Ari Daivari, Lance Archer, Daniel Garcia, Cole Carter, Best Friends, Jake Hager, Dalton Castle, Lee Moriarty, Matt Hardy, and Jay Lethal.
Page closed it out by eliminating Rush, and his date with Moxley is set.
In our opinion, this sets the stage for Page to win back the title as the company moves on from the CM Punk experiment and Moxley can then have his vacation, but we’ll have to wait and see how that goes.
The rest of the spoilers
The rest of the night’s action saw Sting and Darby Alin defeat Brody King and Buddy Mathews after the Great Muta came out and sprayed mist on Mathews. Sting then score the pinfall win on Mathews.
Hook and Action Bronson beat Matt Menard and Angelo Parker
Jade Cargill retained the TBS Championship against Diamante. After the match, Trina turned on Diamante by slapping her and shaking hands with Cargill.
Wardlow and Samoa Joe beat Tony Nese and Josh Woods. Afterwards, Woods and Nese attacked Joe with Wardlow coming in to help Joe.
Jungle Boy defeated Rey Fenix, and after the match, Christian came out with an sling. Luchasaurus attacked Jungle Boy from behind and powerbombed him while Christian explained that Luchasaurus was his right hand of destruction.
Backstage, the Jericho Appreciation Society revealed there will be an appreciation event on the next EW Dynamite (9/28).
Overall, it looks like an awesome episode and we can’t wait to see things play out in real time.
