We already know one half of the match to crown the first ever AEW World Trios Champions, with The Elite defeating The United Empire this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. Now tonight, either Dark Order or Best Friends will move on. Originally, John Silver & Alex Reynolds were teaming with Preston Vance, who unfortunately would fall to injury during the first round match against The House Of Black.

Evil Uno wanted to step in, but he was attacked by Andrade El Idolo on Dynamite. Silver & Reynolds intended to go on as a tag team, but Hangman Page wasn’t going to let this happen. Now, this trio will face Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta & Orange Cassidy – with a ticket to the PPV, and potentially the history books – practically within reach.

Hangman Page Gets Cursed, It Was Not Very Effective

Hangman Page & Orange Cassidy would start this match, before Danhausen hit the ring and tried to curse Page. He’d be ejected from the ringside area, to the dismay of fans in the arena and all around the world. Page would be rolled up for a two count, before OC would get a piggyback ride from Page. OC was thrown to the mat, before avoiding a sliding lariat.

Best Friends would hit the ring alongside Silver & Reynolds, and gave the people what they wanted with a hug – before hitting the Sole Food – Half & Half Suplex combination. SIlver would be saved from a superplex by Page, before OC hit the slow kicks – and Silver was ready to take the bullet for Page. A superkick rocked Silver, before Reynolds hit the ring and took a big DDT from Beretta.

Silver would be able to hit the running uppercut, before Best Friends would hit a double suplex for a one count. OC got the tag, and would be hit with a suplex – before Page got the tag. No more jokes, he’d run OC down, before Taylor dashed in and was sent to the apron. Reynolds got the blindtag, and Page would hit the springboard lariat – before launching Reynolds to the floor with a moonsault.

Dark Order Might Have Their Breakout Moment

OC would look for the crossbody in the ring, but was caught with a Fallaway Slam. Page would dive to the floor, and was caught by a double chokeslam from Best Friends. Reynolds was still legal, and would get a roll up for a two count. Silver got the tag and would run all three opponents down, before looking the brainbuster in the ring. OC blocked into the stunner, before hitting Beach Break for a two count.

Best Friends would hit the Ant Hill – but Page was there to make the save. Taylor was taken to the floor and hit with a moonsault, before Trent tried for the super German Suplex. Page landed on his feet, and hit Trent with the rolling elbow. OC would take Deadeye – but would get help kicking out.

Reynolds would take Strong Zero on the floor, before Silver took Awful Waffle in the ring – with Page breaking up that pinfall. Page missed the Buckshot Lariat and was sent the floor, but Silver got the roll up for a three count – and make the finals!
