Samoa Joe would take some time off following a brutal match over the ROH World Television Championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor, but was able to make his return at All Out. Following FTR & Wardlow defeating Jay Lethal & MCMG – Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt would look to help Lethal gain the numbers edge over Wardlow.
In comes Samoa Joe with a steel pipe, and suddenly Singh, Lethal, Sabin & Shelley were run off – and Dutt was hit with the Big Rig, and pinned by Dax Harwood’s eight year old daught. Tonight, we find out what exactly is on the mind of Samoa Joe, and if he’s ready to end his issues with Jay Lethal.
Samoa Joe Is Back, And Has His Next Challenger Lined UP
Joe would be glad to be back in the ring after his hiatus, and promises the fans more violence in the future. The ROH World Television Champion is back in business – but before he could announce more? He would be cut off by Smart Mark Sterling. He’d say that he’s never left business with Tony Nese & Josh Woods, and that Nese has more abs than Joe has matches.
Sterling said that Woods meanwhile has been proving himself in the ring time and time again, and Joe would agree he deserves a title shot. Instead of next week though, Joe would demand Woods hit the ring tonight. Sterling would cower and say that paperwork needs doing – and it will happen next week on Rampage.
Serena Deeb Claims Another Knee
With a fresh Interim AEW Women’s World Champion in the mix, it’s a rat race to get the first shot against Toni Storm. We’ve already seen Penelope Ford step up and fail against Storm herself on AEW Dynamite, but tonight – Serena Deeb looks to send a message. Going up against a fellow veteran in Madison Rayne, Deeb has finally met someone who can just about match her level of in-ring experience. However, Rayne can not match the pure technical skills or aggression of Deeb, which might be her undoing here tonight.
Deeb would instantly get a hammerlock as the bell rang, but Rayne was able to fight free. She would look for the Final Cut, before almost being taken out with the Deebtox. Rayne was able to counter out, and Deeb was pissed about this. They’d shove each other before Deeb hit a big lariat and some downward strikes to the face.
Swinging Neckbreaker would get a two count, before Rayne would hit alternating chops and elbows. A sliding lariat followed, but Deeb kicked out. Serenity Lock was applied, and Deeb forced an instant tap out. Deeb is on fire, and could be looking for her first taste of AEW gold.
