Fans have slammed Meghan Markle’s decision to join Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton in paying their respects towards the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Fans BASH Meghan ‘Hypocrite’ Markle For Paying Respects To Queen Elizabeth II At Windsor-‘Markle’s Own Father Nearly Died Of A Stroke And She Hasn’t Even Bothered To Call Or See Him’
The four of them reunited together, which came out of the blue since relations were at an all-time low. But for all the hopes of reuniting the family, it seems that not everyone was convinced by Meghan.
This was on the basis that she had allegedly not reached out to her father, Thomas Markle, during his recent hospitalisation and release following a stroke.
Not only that, but Thomas has made it clear that Meghan has not ‘lost’ her father, but rather she has made the decision to ‘dump’ him.
As such, people could not reconcile how Meghan could pay respects towards the Queen when she had been critical of the royals. And yet, at the very same time, ignore her very own father.
This sentiment was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. One person wrote: “Meghan Markle’s own father nearly died of a stroke and she hasn’t even bothered to call or see him.
“Watching her swan around Windsor shaking hands pretending to be sad after making the Queen’s final years a misery is sickening.”
While another person stated: “I forgot about her father after the death of our dear Queen. I hope she realises that life is so transient and will reconcile with him before it’s too late.
“Sadly (I’m sorry to believe this) I don’t think she cares.” In Meghan’s defence, this could provide her with the perfect opportunity to reach out to her father.
After all, if she can show a sense of public unity with the royals, then there is no reason why she cannot do the same when it comes to her father.
But in any event, this is a decision that Meghan has to make regardless of what others have to say. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
