Jane Fonda Speaks Out Following Cancer Diagnosis-‘This Is A Very Treatable Cancer’
Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of cancer that results in the vessels and glands being damaged. As part of that process, this can severely compromise the body’s immune system.
But Jane is not letting any of that put her down, as she was adamant that she felt confident about beating this. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Jane shared a picture of herself looking into the distance.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “I’ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and have started chemo treatments. This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.”
This positive mindset is exactly what he will need to overcome the cancer. Prior to her diagnosis, Jane was very active in the political sphere.
She had been allegedly arrested for her protests on climate in 2019. And she made it very clear that she has no intention of letting the cancer get in the way of her activism.
That is easier said than done, as there will have to be a period of recuperation. But at the very least, it is keeping Jane focused on the task at hand which is to overcome the cancer.
She added: “I’m doing chemo for 6 months and am handling the treatments quite well and, believe me, I will not let any of this interfere with my climate activism.”
The fans on social media came out with warm words of support. And in the process of doing so, they hoped she would be able to bounce back as soon as possible.
One person wrote: “Love you. You have always been the best fighter. You inspire me and I wish you the very best.”
Hopefully, Jane is able to get back to her usual self. Time will tell how it plays out. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
