Christina Oxenberg, a descendant from Serbian royalty and the third cousin of King Charles III, has slammed the Royal Family’s treatment of Meghan Markle.
King Charles III’s Cousin Christina Oxenberg SLAMS ROYAL FAMILY’s Cruel Treatment Of Meghan Markle-‘You Are Going Through… A Hellish Kind Of Hazing’
It is no secret that Meghan has not had the easiest of times when it comes to her relationship with the royals.
Her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey was indicative of that with allegations someone in the firm had reservations about Archie’s skin colour. Not only that, but it was accompanied by claims that she had suicidal thoughts.
In response, Meghan has largely been received negatively on the basis that her claims have been questioned, while others argued whether they should have been made public, especially since they coincide with the deterioration of the late Prince Philip’s health.
And for Christina, she feels that Meghan has to just bear the brunt of it. In her comments, she said: “To Meghan Markle, I say, ‘What you are going through is a hellish kind of hazing.
“If she can just hang in there, someone else will come along who can take the heat. Nobody gets a pass. [It’s] treasonous.” Those comments may not be what supporters of Meghan want to hear, but in reality, it does demonstrate the following points.
First of all, the implication is that Megan will have to put up with this which will most likely result in her continuing to disclose further revelations.
Meghan has already made it clear that she did not sign a non-disclosure agreement during her time with the royals, coupled with the fact that she was keeping a journal.
Secondly, there is nothing to suggest that there could be a reconciliation between Meghan and the firm. The fans on social media had a lot to say. A certain subset of people felt it was about time that Meghan was given a fair shake.
One person wrote: “So happy that someone in this family spoke up for Meghan.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
