That is according to Queen Elizabeth II’s former aide Dickie Arbiter. It is no secret that Meghan has managed to stay in the headlines in light of her speaking out against the royals.
Her controversial Oprah Winfrey interview coincided with a combination of deals with Netflix and Spotify. Not only that, but her Duchess of Sussex title has certainly given Meghan opportunities that she may not have otherwise had.
With that being said, Dickie does not see Meghan toning back on her outspoken approach. In her comments, she said: “I think unfortunately Meghan is going to keep capitalising on what she has been capitalising on so far.
“She’s got a title, she’s got a captive audience in the United States.” It is clear that Meghan does have many ventures lined up. Her current ‘Archetypes’ podcast on Spotify has been put on the back burner following the late monarch’s death.
But this is expected to resume very soon. In addition, an appearance was planned on the Jimmy Fallon show prior to Queen Elizabeth’s death which suggests that Meghan is keen on expanding her brand.
In and amongst that, though, the public show of unity with the Fab Four walking together at Windsor was firmly shut down by Dickie.
His following comments confirmed as much: “It looked to me like they were putting this show on to do it for their grandmother and credit to them for being able to do that.
“But the enmity between them all is incredibly real. This is not invented by the media.” The fans on social media were much the same.
A certain subset of people felt Meghan’s success was primarily based on the back end of the royal name. One person wrote: “She has nothing else. She’s acting Bitter and twisted.”
