A mourner almost fainted as she waited to get a look at the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II.
Mourner Almost Fainted After Waiting To See Queen Elizabeth’s Coffin
The person in question, Brenda Hornsby, had reportedly traveled from the Lake District alongside her husband. And as part of that process, it is a strenuous journey when we consider that there is an extreme demand to see the coffin.
But things took a turn for the worse, as the already burgeoning queue became even more burdensome as it had allegedly been stopped for over an hour.
Therefore, people were not allowed to proceed along the queue as it continued to grow. And that took its toll as Brenda, who just so happens to be 60-years-old, almost ended up fainting.
In her comments, Brenda said: “We were left down by the river for an hour without moving – I saw two people collapse, I nearly collapsed I had to sit down.
“Through tiredness and the cold and not moving I just started getting dizzy. Someone gave me a water and I got a coffee later.”
One of the reasons why this had occurred was due to the fact that the temperature did not help matters. Brenda expanded on how it was extremely cold, coupled with the fact that she was not satisfied with how things were being organised.
And yet, at a time where potentially millions of people are making the trip, there is no way of having one policy that caters for everybody.
Things were so bad that if a person had to leave the queue in order to go to the lavatory, they would end up having to go to the back.
Brenda’s following comments confirmed as much: “We were getting on with a guy really well then I went to the loo and we haven’t seen him since – it’s a shame you want to see it through.”
So if you are brave enough, now you know what it takes. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
