The couple are in the UK for two charitable events, the ‘One Young World Summit’ and the ‘Well Child Awards.’ And as part of that process, the background to their visit has been marred by controversy.
Prior to attending the UK, Meghan made a controversial statement in her interview with ‘The Cut’ where she alleged that someone in the British media had referred to her child with the n-word.
But as she failed to name the person that was responsible for this, it has naturally not gone down very well with other reporters. Dan Wootton, a reporter, made it clear that the British public had turned against the Sussexes.
He said: “I’m going to be completely honest with you, the mood is, ‘please go away, please leave us alone. We are disgusted with the way they have treated Prince William and Kate.
“We are horrified by the way they’ve treated their father, Prince Charles.” Those were clearly some strong words, but not without any foundation.

The couple have been heavily criticised for failing to make a visit to see Queen Elizabeth II in light of reports that her health has deteriorated.
And as she is 96-years-old, coupled with the fact that the pair do not live in the UK, the public has questioned their conduct.
In addition, since the duo are living in Frogmore Cottage, people have questioned why they cannot set up a meeting with the Cambridges, who are in very close proximity at Adelaide Cottage.
The fans on social media were not surprised by this sentiment. A significant proportion of people centred their criticism around Meghan in light of her recent bombshells near the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
One person wrote: “Well what do expect: for no talent, no original ideas, no kindness, no empathy, failed education for MM who is such a narcissist.”
