From the day he took over, Triple H set out to change the culture behind the scenes to make it more fun for everyone to come to work and it looks like it’s paying off.
Whether it’s in the ring or during promos, everyone seems to have an extra bounce to their step and when we consider reports that people feel they don’t have to keep their heads down it looks like he’s succeeding.
More than that, wrestlers are coming forward and saying they like the change and they feel like it’s more of a family vibe and they have a boss that listens.
In short, it feels like NXT.
Home again
Rhea Ripley recently did an interview with Gorilla Position where she talked about the unity she experienced in NXT and how it feels the same on Raw under Triple H’s guidance.
“I feel like it’s definitely family-ish. I feel like it’s NXT for me, personally. I don’t know how other people feel, but for me it feels like that NXT environment, which I loved so much while being there.
“I have all my friends back, the one that have moved up and the ones that have come back.”
Along with a culture change, Triple H has also brought back talent the previous regime let go for budget reasons despite making a $1 billion in 2021.
Some of those are wrestlers Ripley worked with before like Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, and along with Johnny Gargano and others it seemingly helped restore a feeling of fun and family for everyone involved.
Those actions and storyline continuity that was sorely lacking under Vince McMahon in recent years have started to pay off in instances like last week’s WWE Smackdown (9/23) was the highest rated show since 2020.
Not everyone’s feeling it
Of course, there are a few wrestlers that have said they haven’t noticed much of a difference with the change in communication, but that can be attributed to Vince trusting them more than others or some other reason we don’t know about and probably never will.
Jim Cornette previously said on his podcast that everyone used to be able to come to Vince, but that seemed to change over the years.
Now that Triple H has reopened the lines of communication, so to speak, and the talent are having their opinions heard, it’s exciting to see what to come.
And if the WWE feels like a family, that’ll only mean they’ll put all the more effort in to make the show and each other even better.
