Last night at All Out, we would finally see Toni Storm get to raise the AEW Women’s World Championship in victory after a hard fought Fatal Four Way. Atleast, she got to raise the Interim AEW Women’s World Championship – after Thunder Rosa would step away from the ring just before the PPV event. This was due to a back injury, or so Rosa claims.
Toni Storm Hints That Thunder Rosa Is Lying About Her Injuries
During the controversial post show media scrum, while most of the attention was on CM Punk’s portion – there were other guests who joined AEW owner Tony Khan. Swerve In Our Glory, Toni Storm & Chris Jericho would also make appearances following big victories. Aside from Keith Lee noting that Swerve stalks social media to send him the juicy takes about himself due to him ignoring social media, or Jericho making a speech about being responsible during these types of events – the biggest information came from the mouth of Toni Storm.
While speaking to the press, she would be asked about Thunder Rosa and what she feels about the eventual Unification match, Storm would have a very interesting response. She would be quoted saying the following.
“I mean, it’s not ideal, but Thunder Rosa says she’s injured. Okay, so when she says she’s not injured, she can come back and lose to me, and that will be the end of that.”
Backing Up Other Reports Of Poor Backstage Behavior And Lies
This is not even the first report of Rosa lying about her injuries. Konnan would recently state that Rosa told him she had a torn ACL, despite publicly admitting to a back injury. The belief is that Rosa is being punished by AEW for poor backstage behavior. Reports of Rosa bullying younger talent on AEW Dark was backed up by similar reports from people backstage at WRLD on GCW – an event Rosa was featured on.
Rosa was also blamed for working stiff with Jamie Hayter, Britt Baker & Marina Shafir – even breaking the nose of Hayter during their match at Battle Of The Belts III and fleeing the arena afterwards. Theres been a lot of smoke regarding the situation of Thunder Rosa, and fans would not be shocked to see Storm simply called the AEW Women’s World Champion, dropping the Interim from the title if an agreement can’t be made between Khan & Rosa.
