If you want to get a title shot against new AEW World Tag Team Champions, you’re going to have to earn it. The Young Bucks made this clear when they announced that they will be wrestling the 2021 World Tag League winners and former IWGP Tag Team Champions Bishamon. Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI will meet The Young Bucks tonight, and if they can claim the win – they will earn a title shot to cash in down the line, likely after they complete the G1 Climax.

Young Bucks Take Down Bishamon With Style

Goto would kick things off with Nick Jackson, and quickly drove him into the corner – but allowed for the clean break. Nick would toss Goto into the corner, but he’d explode back with a shoulder tackle. YOSHI-HASHI got the tag, and would be hip tossed onto Nick.

War Drums would be hit on both brothers, before YOSHI-HASHI would be caught with the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplexes, with Goto caught in the fourth one. Nick would dive onto Bishamon on the floor, and Matt celebrated in the ring like they won the match.

YOSHI-HASHI would get isolated in the ring, with Matt smartly removing the tag option the second an opening came. Matt would mock YOSHI-HASHI in the corner, but Nick would help to keep Goto down before a double stomp to the spine.

YOSHI-HASHI would nail a suplex, before Goto finally got the tag. Leg lariat and bulldog would follow, before Young Bucks hit a tag team Sliced Bread into a running knee for a two count. Bishamon hit the Headhunter Combo, for a two count, before everyone would be struck down to the mat.

NIck took a superkick, before the Ushigoroshi for a near fall. Shoto was set up, but Matt made the save. Goto took a superkick party, and YOSHI-HASHI the BTE Trigger & double jump Meltzer Driver for the finish.

    A Thunderstorm Is Forming

Toni Storm was unable to claim the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door, but a loss is merely a setback for someone as determined as Storm. Tonight, she will face a former champion in Nyla Rose, as these two meet in a first time ever singles match. Rose is likewise someone who has fallen to Thunder Rosa, and is itching for a second title shot – and a win tonight would do a lot to boost her up the rankings.

Storm would be overpowered by Rose to start this match, but would dodge a punt kick. Rose would take a running back elbow in the corner, before Marina Shafir who was in the corner of Rose would kick Storm in the face on the floor. Storm was thrown into the steel steps, before shoving Rose into the ring post.

In the ring, Rose would hit a spinebuster, before the body press into the corner. Cannonball would miss, and Storm hit the hip attack. Double DDT would land on the floor with Storm getting both Shafir & Rose, before a diving crossbody in the ring.

Beast Bomb in the ring would be countered, but Rose would work into a pinfall all the same. Thrust kick would land after Rose fought off a German Suplex – and ripped a turnbuckle pad off. Rose set up the diving knee, but Storm dodged and hit a stunner. German Suplex landed, and a DDT would end this one.

After the bell, Shafir & Rose tried to keep the fight going. Thunder Rosa made the save, and we could be on our way to a tag team match.

Will Thunder Rosa & Toni Storm work as a tag team? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
