Once upon a time, Jack Perry & Luchasaurus were the dominant AEW World Tag Team Champions. With Christian Cage as their manager, they seemed unstoppable – but the moment they lost the belts, Christian showed his true colors by attacking Perry. Getting Luchasaurus on his side was easy, and would allow him to defeat Perry in seconds at All Out despite being injured. Tonight, Perry looks for revenge as he goes one on one with his former partner.
Kicking off the AEW debut in Canada, we have the newest member of the AEW broadcast team in Renee Paquetee. She’d get a massive reaction, with Christian Cage following and basically getting boo’d out of his home province. Calling himself the face of Toronto, he’d ensure the fans that much like the Maple Leafs losing in the first round of the playoffs, Luchasaurus will destroy Jack Perry.
Jack Perry Targets The Hand Of Luchasaurus
Perry would rush in with a dropkick to corner Luchasaurus, before some quick chops and elbows. Luchasaurus would get choked on the ropes with Perry standing on the back, before popping down with a chop – a signature move of Christians. Perry would be caught into a wheelbarrow German Suplex, before being taken to the floor.
Luchasaurus would set up the timekeepers table, before looking for a chop too close to the ring post. Perry would duck and injure the hand, before using the post to bring more damage. Luchasaurus would be able to whip Perry into the barricade, before a backdrop right onto the apron.
Back in the ring, Luchasarus would hit a suplex slam, before a spear into the corner. A hammer throw across the ring would show to power of Luchasaurus, before stomping on the face of Perry as a pinfall for a two count. Perry blocked a second stomp, before avoiding a spear – causing Luchasaurus to hit the ring post.
Christian Cage Hands A Win To His Right Hand Man
Luchasaurus would be sent to the floor, but was able to block a suicide dive before being driven into the ring post. Perry would hit a superkick to Luchasaurus on the apron, before hitting the Sunset Powerbomb through the table. Christian Cage would leave commentary to hit the ring, before Luchasaurus would sit up and hit a big lariat and Death Valley Driver for a two count.
Perry would be placed on the top rope with Luchasaurus looking for a Franksteiner and being cut down. Luchasaurus was able to block a sliding dropkick after being put in the Tree of Woe, and hit a left handed chokeslam for a near fall. Perry would block a Torture Rack into a Crucifix Bomb for a two count, before the Killswitch attempt was blocked.
Electric Chair from Luchasaurus was turned into a poisonrana before the Killswitch got a near fall. Snare Trap would be applied, but Luchasaurus was able to get the bottom rope. Christain Cage would again be a distraction, allowing Luchasaurus to hit a super chokeslam before the Cutthroat Driver for the finish.
Following this match, we’d catch up with Ethan Page & The Firm. Matt Hardy & Private Party would run in, saying that they caught wind of some contract tampering. Stokely Hathaway would buy their contracts out – and Kassidy would accept a fight with Ethan Page for Rampage. If Kassidy gets the win, they’re free from their contracts, but if they lose? The Firm has Matt Hardy as well.
