Chef Curtis Stone has defended James Corden after the latter had allegedly been banned by restaurant owner Keith McNally.
Chef Curtis Stone Defends James Corden’s Alleged Abusive Behaviour
According to reports, Keith banned Corden on the basis that he was being rude to his staff. This was accompanied by claims that Corden had found a hair in the food, as well as not being happy that his wife’s food had incorrectly been made.
Although the ban would later be overturned, after Corden allegedly apologised, the comedian riled up more anger after recently stating that he felt he did ‘nothing wrong.’
That resulted in Keith launching another attack against Corden by encouraging him to admit he had done something wrong. With that being said, Curtis has now had his say on the matter.
He let everybody know in no uncertain terms that he had a positive view of Corden based on his own interactions with him. In an interview with TMZ, Curtis said: “[James] has been an absolute gentleman.
“[I was] shocked to hear’ the allegations regarding Corden’s behavior.” But even if James had been a rude customer, Curtis still felt that things should have been handled differently.
First of all, he suggested that it was not usual protocol to bad mouth customers in public. This is primarily on the basis that people come for a good food experience.
Not only that, but this could end up detracting others from coming to the said restaurants. Secondly, if there is a genuine reason to complain, then that should be upheld but done in a manner that is appropriate.
Curtis’ following comments confirmed as much: “It depends what the problem is. If something hasn’t been done correctly, you should let it go but not be angry about it.
“What happens in the restaurant, stays in the restaurant.” As long as the customer is happy, then that is the most important thing to remember.
The customer is king as they say. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
