The model is known for pushing the boundaries, as she did star in the infamous music video for ‘Blurred Lines.’ The video received a significant amount of criticism on the basis that it was attempting to downplay sexual violence.
Not only that, but it was accused of objectifying women and peddling rape myths. With that being said, Emily’s dress caused a lot of uproar too. In the picture here, we can see that Emily is wearing a black dress.
Her cleavage is on show, as the dress was very revealing. When looking back at the outfit, this is what Emily had to say: “Somebody called it ‘extremely vulgar’ and it became this huge controversy on the internet.
“And some of my agents were mad at me because they thought it was too sexy. I was in my 20s and just, like, hadn’t registered that it was so sexy.”
Nevertheless, the controversy did not stop there. It turns out that Emily decided to hit back at the person that had called the dress vulgar by accusing them of being sexist.
Not only that, but the model was also accused of behaving in a manner that was looking for attention. And given that Emily had a genuine fondness for the dress, this was very hard for her to take.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I still like that dress. I still think I look great.” The fans on social media had their say on the matter.
A certain subset felt that Emily was capable of pulling off many looks, but the words which accompanied her reasoning let her down. One person wrote: “Emily is sizzling but has a grapefruit IQ.”
