The Grammy winner happened to be performing in Atlanta. Having to either delay or cancel a show is not out of the ordinary, and yet, Nas’ bathroom break up generated many talking points.
In the video here, we can see that Nas is addressing the crowd as he tells them in no uncertain terms that he needs to go and relieve himself.
He can be heard saying the following: “I’m backstage, and this is, like, not a part of the show, but I’m taking a mean s–t, so please forgive me. I’ll be right back.”
This generated a lot of talking points for the following reasons. First of all, it was not exactly clear if the rapper was actually having a joke with his fans. After all, Nas is known for pushing the boundaries when it comes to his concerts.
He recently sent pizza to some Christian preachers who were demonstrating near his concert on the alleged basis of his music or the fact that he was gay.
Secondly, It would take a very brave man to tell a full audience that they needed a bathroom break, as it may appear unprofessional.
And in any event, people have paid lots of money to see their stars not take a bathroom break, but get their money’s worth. The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter.
A certain subset of people could not help but laugh about the whole situation and make running jokes. One person wrote: “I always wondered what that’s like having to use the toilet in the middle of a performance lol.”
While another person stated: “To be fair, his butthole strength has taken loads of abuse over the years, he possibly saved a few background dancers from a slippery death. Very cool Lil Nas X.”
