HOUSE Of TORTURE are once again the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Champions, and tonight are here for six man tag team action without putting those belts on the line. Standing against them are Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hikule’o & Ryusuke Taguchi – with Hikule’o recently turning away from BULLET CLUB in support of his brother, Tama Tonga. This is the first time Tanahashi has ever teamed with Hikule’o.

Hikule’o Earns His Team A Title Shot

Yujiro would try and suck Hikule’o back into BULLET CLUB before the bell, with him refusing before being swarmed by House of Torture. He’d fight them off one by one, even getting a boot to the face of Dick Togo along the way. A double lariat would take down Yujiro & EVIL, before Tanahashi would apply a headlock.

Yujiro would bite his way to freedom, before SHO would stomp away at The Ace. Tanahashi would be isolated in the corner of House of Torture and choked, before SHO would lay in the mid-kicks. SHO would be rocked by a hard slap from Tanahashi, and EVIL would take his place in the ring.

Tanahashi would get EVIL with the Dragon Screw leg whip before tagging Taguchi in. Several big hip attacks would follow – before a potential low blow on EVIL. EVIL would have SHO kick Taguchi onto his knee, a definite low blow, but a legal one. House of Torture would set up a cross armed piledriver, but SHO only got two as Tanahashi broke the pinfall up.

A wrench blow behind the back of the referee would land, and SHO would get the win with Shock Arrow… if Hikule’o didn’t hit the ring with a sky high chokeslam and put Taguchi on top for the pinfall and the win! They beat the champions, and a rematch with gold on the line could be in their future.

United Empire Call Their Shot Against FTR

Right now, FTR stands tall as the IWGP World Tag Team Champions, and recently shut down the challenge of Aussie Open. Tonight, two teams of former champions will meet – as Bishamon face Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb. In tag action, these teams are tied 1-1, and whoever wins tonights rubber match could find themselves in line to face FTR next. Gideon Grey would be in the corner of O-Khan & Cobb tonight, an official member of United Empire after Royal Quest.

O-Khan & Cobb would get the first blow in with a cheap shot before the bell, before Bishamon would regain the control and beat them down one at a time. YOSHI-HASHI would stand and strike with Jeff Cobb, which proved to be a mistake as he was rocked with a dropkick. A one armed stalling suplex would follow, before surfing on his back.

With the referee distracted, YOSHI-HASHI was choked with the Boa Staff, before being sat on in the corner. O-Khan would pose with the staff, before throwing it to Grey at ringside. Goto would hit a spinning wheel kick into the corner, but the bulldog would be blocked. Russian Leg Sweep would land, getting Goto a two count – before the GotoGoto Hunter would set up Shoto. O-Khan blocked the finisher of Bishamon, before whipping Goto into the corner. Cobb & YOSHI-HASHI would grapple in the ring, before a dropkick to the knee would see Cobb fold.

Bishamon would run Cobb down in the ring, hitting Violent Flash. Shoto would be blocked, but YOSHI-HASHI hit a Dragon Screw and applied a kneebar. O-Khan would help Cobb free, before a drop toehold saw him meet the middle rope face first. Sheep Killer was applied to Goto, YOSHI-HASHI took a Tour of The Islands. United Empire win – and FTR better be watching.

Eight Man Tag Team Action From Two Top Factions

At Royal Quest, Tetsuya Naito would shut down the challenge of Zack Sabre Jr, and earned a future title shot at Will Ospreay. Tonight, they lead their factions into battle – with Naito taking SANADA, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI into the fight, and Ospreay backed up by Aaron Henare, TJP & Francesco Akira. Akira & TJP are the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions – and BUSHI & Takahashi would love to get themselves a title shot tonight.

Naito & Ospreay would stare each other down in the middle of the ring as this match would be set up, both teams deciding who begins the match. It would be Naito & Ospreay, as they exchanged strikes. Ospreay blocked the hurricanrana into a powerbomb attempt, before a double pose off.

Henare & SANADA would meet in the ring, with a massive shoulder tackle driving SANADA to the mat before missing the liver punch. BUSHI & Hiromu would use their speed to cut Henare down, before BUSHI was sent to the floor and hit with a plancha from Ospreay. In the ring, Akria & TJP would hit a double team move – as Rocky Romero noted on commentary he is scouting them.

Los Ingobernables de Japon Gets Some Major Help

TJP apply a bow and arrow stretch, tilting it down into a pinfall for a two count. Akira would hit some punches to the head of BUSHI, with the Italian trash talk following each strike. Speedfire would be blocked by Hirmou, before TJP hit the ring. A dropkick from SANADA took him out, before a Bezerker Bomb from Henare. Naito & Ospreay showed their skills before a hook kick to the face from Ospreay was met with a spinebuster.

BUSHI would have his mask attacked, but a masked man would make the save. He’d take down United Empire before a spin out into a facebuster while the referee was down before a suicide dive. MX would land in the ring and the victory was handed to Los Ingoberables De Japon.

This mystery man would loosen his mask, and would ask for a microphone. He’d get that, and had the crowd in the palm of his hand – and it was Titan! Following his run in Best of the Super Juniors tournament, he’d join ask to join L.I.J! This was news to L.I.J, looking visibly confused by this.
