This is something that the socialite has been very vocal about after having stated the need for such boarding school institutions to be reformed in order to protect its members.
Paris had the unfortunate occurrence of being sent there when she was just 16-years-old by her parents. This was allegedly on the basis that Paris was quite a rebel.
While she would end up returning home after around 11 months, the damage had already been done which has stayed with her to this day.
In an interview with the New York Times, Paris said: “They would take myself and other girls into this room and they would perform medical exams.
“It was really scary, and it’s something that I really had blocked out for many years. But it’s coming back all the time now, and I think about it…That was definitely sexual abuse.”
This just goes on to demonstrate how traumatic the experience must have been since Paris’ personal life has come a long way since then.
She is happily married to Carter Reum with even suggestions that perhaps the pair may consider having a family later down the line. Although that may be the case, Paris also has other pressing issues that she wants to address.
She made it absolutely clear in no uncertain terms that this type of abuse had to stop at whatever cost. Her following comments confirmed as much: “I cried while they held me down & said, ‘No!’
“They just said, ‘Shut up. Be quiet. Stop struggling or you’ll go to Obs. It’s important to open up about these painful moments so I can heal & help put an end to this abuse.”
