Prince William has not been able to forgive his brother, Prince Harry, due to the manner in which the latter left the Royal Family.
William Can’t Forgive Harry Over How He Left The Royal Family-Says Royal Expert Katie Nicholl
That is according to royal expert Katie Nicholl. Harry and his wife Meghan Markle did not leave without drama. Reports indicated that they had initially tried to initiate Megxit via email, something which did not go down very well since it was a monumental decision.
In addition, once the pair actually left the Royal Family, they were not shy in speaking to the press. This was most notably seen during the duo’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview, which ultimately coincided with the deterioration in health of the late Prince Philip.
With that being said, a reconciliation can only happen once a significant amount of time has passed, allowing both brothers to heal. In her comments, Katie said: “There could be a rapprochement.
“But that will be some time down the line. And that comes down to the fact that William simply cannot forgive Harry. Not just for leaving, but for how he left.”
In addition, things have not been easy for the new monarch King Charles III. He has to ensure that the Sussexes are kept at arm’s-length, as any further disclosures could be very damaging.
It is very early in Charles’ reign, as he has to navigate a more slimmed-down version of the monarchy going forward. And a part of his legacy could ultimately be judged upon how he deals with Harry in whether the Sussexes keep their royal titles or not.
But that is easier said than done, though. Katie’s following confirmed as much: “If Charles gives them those titles, and I think it’s a big if, that comes with a cost. That’s going to come with an expectation of loyalty and trust.”
