“No, no, definitely not.” – Anderson Silva said of his retirement rumors. “I don’t know when I’m gonna stop. I know one day I will stop. But not now. I try to challenge myself every day, and especially right now my kid started fighting, and I help my kid.”
Anderson Silva is easily one of the best MMA fighters in the world. He has been in the sport for more than a quarter of a century and has roamed the UFC octagon from 2006 until 2020. Up until 2012, he was on a winning streak that catapulted him to the top of the ranking lists. He won 16 consecutive fights and holds the record for the longest winning streak in the UFC up until this day.
Speaking about boxing, Anderson Silva comes out fresh from a win over his former UFC colleague Tito Ortiz, and from an impressive win over Julio Cezar Chavez Jr in 2021.
“I’m so lucky because I continue doing something special. It’s not about proving anything for anybody. It’s about a challenge for myself.” – Anderson Silva said of his boxing career.
As for Jake Paul, the ‘Problem Child’ is 5-0-0 in his boxing career. He has 4 of those wins by knockout. While many criticize him, there are numerous people starting to realize that he is indeed talented in boxing. Jake Paul has nothing but respect for his opponent. The ‘Problem Child‘ pledged not to trash talk before the fight which is unusual for him. He pledges even not to celebrate big if he manages to knock out the UFC legend.
Despite the age gap between the two fighters, Anderson Silva is still the betting favorite, as he is more experienced and has fought more experienced boxers.
