Earlier tonight, Ilja Dragunov would leave the NXT Champion laying with the Torpedo Moscow. He’d been aiming for JD McDonagh, but after being caught leaving in the parking lot, Grayson Waller says that it doesn’t matter – as this gave Dragunov an advantage at Halloween Havoc. Waller would talk Dragunov into sticking around for the rest of the show, and ended up in a singles match with The Czar in the process. Waller is also worrying about Apollo Crews, who he meets one on one at Halloween Havoc.
Thea Hail Drops Robert Stone, Kiana James Claims The Quick Victory
Before this main event got started – we have a land dispute in the making. Kianna James is trying to destroy Chase U, all to steal the land their university is built upon. That land is worth more than Andre Chase could even imagine, and wants it for her own purposes. Tonight, she goes one on one with Chase U member Thea Hail – hoping to get a step closer to her goals.
Hail would be fired up like usual, with the Chase U student section firmly behind her. Robert Stone would interrupt the match, saying the world is laughing at him because Hail slammed him last week. A loud “You Got Slammed” chant would break out, before she’d hit the Back Body Drop on Stone.
James would get the cheap shot with the 401K – and got the victory just like that. This was a teachable moment for Hail, to never take your eyes off the real opponent. Chase U is building some enemies, and it might be time to take them down. Stone would be asked what was going on by Wagner, who said it was time to get serious ahead of Halloween Havoc – no more nonsense from Stone.
Ilja Dragunov Wins The Main Event, But Bron Breakker Gets His Revenge
Waller would shove Dragunov into the ropes as the main event would begin, before looking for a time out as Dragunov broke free. The former NXT UK champion would hit a takedown on Waller, before a stiff strike to the throat. Dragunov would get Waller with the rear waistlock, and Waller would cower in the ropes before a cheap punch would catch Dragunov in the throat.
A leg lariat would draw the ire of Booker T on commentary, as Waller locked eyes with the legend after stealing a signature move from the two time Hall of Famer. A rear chinlock would be applied in the middle of the ring, maintaining control as he moved into a modified cravate instead. Dragunov would escape and hit some heavy strikes, while on commentary Booker T said arrogance isn’t bad when you back it up like The Miz or Roddy Piper.
Waller would take a punch to the jaw before a deadlift exploder suplex. Dragunov would be dropped before the rope walk elbow drop got Waller a two count. Waller avoided the Constantine Special and got the Rear Naked Choke applied. Dragunov would fight free, before almost being taken down with the Rolling Stunner – only for the lights to go dim and the Spin The Wheel, Make a Deal wheel spinning.
Waller was rattled before missing the stunner and being nailed with a series of German Suplexes. Torpedo Moscow would end this match – Ilja Dragunov claiming another big win in NXT. After the bell, Bron Breakker ran Dragunov down with a vicious spear – as McDonagh watched on from the crowd with a chilling smile.
