It’s been a hard year for ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry. He went from being AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Luchasaurus, and learning from Christian Cage – to having Cage try to end his career and ruin his life. Eleven months ago in this very arena, Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus became the AEW World Tag Team Champions – and are now bitter rivals. Luchasaurus has sided with Cage, and contributed greatly to a victory over Perry at All Out. In response, Perry would cost Luchasaurus the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, and proceed to call Luchasaurus out for a match tonight at Full Gear, with them locked in a solid steel cage.
Jungle Boy Jack Perry Came Ready For War
Perry would start fast with some quick strikes, trying to use whatever speed edge he can find. Luchasaurus would try to toss Perry into the steel, but he’d catch the cage and spring off with a dropkick. Perry would be run down with a big boot to the face, before being lawndarted into the cage.
Already bleeding, Perry would have his face grinded right into the steel cage. Christian Cage would talk some trash from ringside, before some heavy handed chops and brutal lariats were followed up with a sidewalk slam for a two count. Perry would be thrown into the cage twice more, before finding himself trapped in between the cage and ring.
Luchasaurus would pull him free, getting a two count. Perry would be able to grab an armbar over the ropes, before being placed on the top rope and dropped hard with a swinging chokeslam. Cutthroat Driver would follow, getting a near fall. Christian Cage would try to break into the cage, but was dragged off by security until Luchasaurus would get free. There’s no win by escape, and we’d see Perry jump out after Luchasaurus before being slung face first into the cage.
A table was put into the ring, with two chairs and Perry following. Low blow with the ropes showed that Perry was desperate. Luchasaurus would be slammed into the cage twice with dropkicks, before having his head kicked into the cage. Perry would be backdropped onto the apron, before a chokeslam onto the chair was blocked before a Destroyer using the chair.
Revenge Rarely Tastes So Sweet
Killswitch onto the chair got a two count for Perry, before a chokeslam through the chair would crush him. Somehow, Perry would block a super chokeslam with a Super Sliced Bread, with both men tired but sitting up. Luchasaurus would nail a headbutt – with Perry continuing to rise after each strike.
He’d grab Luchasaurus by the throat before some hard strikes and a piledriver, somehow only getting a two count. The table was set as Luchasaurus would rise to look for a chokeslam. Perry would grab a a chokehold as a counter, before ending up spiked with a tombstone piledriver.
The table was set up once again, but Perry was able to get the sleeper hold again. Luchasaurus was placed on the chair, and smacked in the face with a steel chair. Perry would scale the cage – making the 20ft dive with an elbow drop to set up the Snare Trap for the victory.
