Stepping away from drug busts, an Alabama man was arrested by authorities in Florence for what seems to be minor offenses that could’ve become major. Jason Ruano (43) was arrested after pulling several fire alarms at the Courtview Towers apartment complex on November 22, 2022.
Alabama Arrested After Pulling 12 Fire Alarms at Apartment Complex and Biting a Deputy
It’s unknown why Ruano began pulling the alarms as there was no threat of a fire. Deputies responded to the Courtview Towers apartments and Ruano was arrested. He was booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center on rendering false alarm.
While under arrest, he got into a physical altercation with a jail deputy and bit one of them on the hand during a search. He was charged with aggravated assault of a police officer and the deputy received treatment for his injuries. The report doesn’t detail Ruano’s state or if he was inebriated when he pulled the alarms and bit the deputy.
If Ruano had a previous criminal record wasn’t detailed either. He is currently be held on $5,000 bond.
