There have been a few eyebrows raised ever since Billie and Jesse came out as an item. This was on the basis there is a significant age gap between them. Billie, for her part, is 20-years-old. Meanwhile, Jesse is 31.
As such, there are question marks over whether or not they will be compatible with each other moving forward since they could have different priorities in their lives.
But for all the criticism that may be coming their way, Finneas wanted to let everybody know in no uncertain terms that he was fully behind his sister, as long as she was in a good place.
In his comments, he said: “Listen, as long as she’s happy, I’m happy.” And that is precisely how things appear to be going. The couple made their red carpet debut at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday, 5th November 2022.
During the course of that process, they did make a bold statement with their clothing. In the picture here, we can see them walking with the same Gucci blanket on as it is clear that they are very much into each other.
They have massive smiles on their faces and could not be happier. Despite the enthusiasm on show from Finneas, not everyone was convinced that things would last between them.
A certain subset of the fanbase felt that the age gap would ultimately take its toll. Meanwhile, others felt that Billie had to do what was best for her. One person wrote: “She’s happy with Jesse, if she’s happy let’s be happy for her.”
It is too early to speculate on what will happen, but based on what we have seen so far, Billie is looking in a good place. Time will tell how it all plays out moving forward.
