Chris Pratt Pays Tribute Following Passing Of Crew Member On His Film ‘The Electric State’
The movie is centred on the life of a teenager, who is an orphan, looking to find his brother. And according to reports, a crew member had been involved in a car accident that had occurred away from the set on Friday, 4th November 2022.
The incident was claimed to have happened in Georgia after work. As part of that process, the production process was halted so that the team could take some time off to digest what had happened.
The crew member has remained unidentified, but in the meantime, the rest of the team has taken steps to deal with the shock. A source confirmed the following: “Production was paused today, and cast and crew were offered counseling resources.”
It is not exactly clear what impact this will have on the film going forward in terms of a release date since it had been scheduled for a 2024 release.
In addition, it has not been confirmed whether the crew member will need to be replaced, as the exact role has not been discussed. Regardless of what the case may be, Chris came out to share some warm words in light of this tragic incident.
In his comments, he stated: “Our prayers go out to the family and friends of our beloved teamster who passed away Friday morning.” This incident showed the unpredictable nature of what can happen when a film is being made.
While the accident did not happen on the set, unlike the Rust incident which led to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, it still showed the importance of making sure that people cherish those around them.
Chris’ following comments confirmed as much: “Reminder to hold your loved ones close.” Hopefully, those affected by this can move forward with time.
