According to reports, the singer has been struggling with the onset of a flu which has been plaguing him for some time. And as part of that process, the singer left it to the last minute to see whether he was fit to make it on the stage.
But once it transpired that this was not the case, it left many people disappointed. After all, the three concerts had been sold out. In an official statement, Styles said: “I’ve been doing everything I can to be able to sing tonight.
“But I’m leaving the doctor now and I’m devastated that it’s just not possible. Until very recently I haven’t had to postpone a show due to illness in the 12 years I’ve been touring. I’m so sorry to do it.”
Nevertheless, the fans will have an opportunity to see Styles in the New Year. The concert has been rescheduled to take place in January, which should give fans something to look forward to, as they can kick off the New Year in style.
In addition, this will give Styles extra time to recuperate which should allow him to come back stronger with an even better performance than it would have otherwise been.
And yet, the fans could not help but feel disappointed. This is understandable since the rescheduled dates may not be possible for everyone to attend.
One person wrote: “This is may be the worst news I’ve ever gotten in my life,” while another person stated: “Omw back to the hotel crying.”
The only thing that fans can do is hope that Harry makes a speedy return to the stage. And that is the most important thing to remember going forward, irrespective of the initial disappointment that has emerged.
