Representing Impact Wrestling & BULLET CLUB in Super Junior Tag League, no one has been able to find a way to defeat Chris Bey & Ace Austin yet. They come into tonight with a perfect 4-0 record, but potentially facing their biggest challenge yet. Lio Rush & YOH of CHAOS had a rough start to their tournament, losing to reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Catch 2/2 – but have been able to win three straight, and a fourth win would allow them to finally put a stop to the hot streak of Bey & Austin.

Chris Bey Calls YOH & Lio Rush A Makeshift Tag Team

Bey would ask to start with Rush, asking Austin to fall back and YOH to get to the apron. He’d call YOH & Rush a makeshift team, with Rush responding that he’s CHAOS for life before they traded blows in the middle of the ring. Rush would send Bey off the ropes and managed to outspeed him before both hit kicks to the face.

Austin & YOH would get tags, with Austin reminding everyone that back in Best of the Super Juniors, he defeated YOH. As Rush went for the tag, he’d have his hair yanked – before kicking his way free. YOH would get the drop toehold on Austin, before hitting the sliding dropkick to the smug face of Austin.

Inside cradle would get YOH for a two count, only for Austin to be sent to the floor. A dive was stopped by Bey, who tripped YOH before being taken out by Rush. Austin came to his partner’s aid, only to be dropped by a kick and a dive through the middle and bottom ropes.

Back in the ring, Rush & YOH would work together in taking down Austin, only for Bey to get a kick in on Rush to stop their attack. Austin & Bey would set up some Poetry in Motion, before a double stomp to the back of Rush. Chinlock would be followed by a crossface blow, with Bey taking trash the whole time.

Rush would be stomped into the neutral corner, with Austin getting the tag for a double backdrop. Austin would try to choke Rush with his knee, before Bey provide a boot for Rush to be thrown into face first. YOH was taken off the apron, as Rush got a roll up for a two count – only to be dropped with a back elbow smash.

Perfect Tournament Ruined By A Makeshift Tag Team

Rush would be able to drop Austin with an enziguri and completed a tag to YOH. Bey would be dropped with a flying forearm smash and Austin with a dropkick. YOH would slip going for a slingshot senton, but regained his footing and completed the move on the second go. Bey would be able to kick out and hit a kick to the head, getting a near fall.

Austin hit a jumping leg drop as Bey hit a standing moonsault, getting a two count before a double back rake to YOH. Bey would hit the vertical suplexes on YOH, only to be countered on the final one into a Falcon Arrow. Rush had recovered and was ready for a tag, rushing down Austin with some high speed forearm smashes before looking for the Rush Hour stunner.

Austin would block, but was dropped with a roundhouse kick for a two count. Rush would be caught trying to take Austin down with a headscissor, and got kicked in the face. Austin hit the House of Cards on YOH, getting Bey a two count. They’d look for the finish, with Bey ready to be launched into the cutter.

Rush would make the save, and used Bey to launch himself into a stunner on Austin. Superkick from YOH set up the Rush Hour, before Ushiroshi put Bey in the drop zone. Austin was taken out on the floor, and Final Hour splash would hand Bey & Austin their first loss of the tournament. Not bad for a ‘makeshift tag team’.

Following the win, Rush expressed how much he loves NJPW and his new tag team partner, and hopes to continue to grow as a team with YOH.

Can Bey & Austin avoid a downward spiral after this loss? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
