Camila Cabello, a current judge on The Voice, has opened up on how she almost auditioned for the show before pulling out.
The Voice’s Camila Cabello Quit The Show To Meet One Direction
The star would go on to audition for The X Factor in 2012, as she ended up in the hit group Fifth Harmony.
While they would go on to split up eventually, as Camila went solo, things turned full circle with Camila now being a judge on The Voice.
But at one moment in time, she was dedicated to the show. She expanded on how she made it through the initial stages after having sung, ‘Respect’ for the producers before leaving.
And one of the reasons why she left was so that she could come across One Direction. In her comments, she said: “I really wanted to meet One Direction.
“I knew that they were gonna perform for X Factor. So I was like, ‘I’m just gonna risk it and not do The Voice and audition for X Factor.’ And then I did end up meeting One Direction.”
Much like One Direction, Camilla went on to have a huge amount of success. She ended up finishing in third place with Fifth Harmony, but their influence went way beyond the show.
The group ended up winning an American Music Award, as well as four MTV Video Music Awards.
And after having been together for 6 years, Camila could not help but look back at the rollercoaster ride that she had been through.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “It’s a pretty wild move. It’s like it was a magnet, I was meant to be back.”
Camila will not have regretted her decision, but perhaps she should be giving more support to her show than she is to its rivals.
After all, there is a possibility that some prospective contestants could follow by doing the same in light of her comments.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
