On Monday, 12th December 2022, a photo was posted on social media displaying BTS member Jin getting ready to start his military service.
BTS Boy Band Member Jin Gets Ready For Mandatory Military Service With A Buzz Cut-‘Cuter Than I Thought’
The 30-year-old is obligated to do the service as South Korean regulations require all able-bodied men to serve in the military for somewhere between 18 and 21 months.
And in order to mark that step, Jin showed off his new hairstyle in preparation for the service. In the picture here, we can see that he has had a buzz cut. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Cuter Than I Thought.”
In October of this year, the act – which had declared that they would be taking a break in June – stated in a formal announcement that their label and themselves are expecting to get back together as a group somewhere around 2025 after they have fulfilled their service obligation.
It is a punishable offense to not meet the compulsory military obligations in South Korea, and it also carries a lot of social disapproval. With that being said, Jin will be looking to get back to music as soon as possible once his service is done.
Big Hit Music, the record label which represents the band, confirmed as much: “We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back.
“Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time.” The fans on social media wished the boy-band member the best with things.
And in the process, they recalled their own experiences in doing a similar thing. One person wrote: “Hope he does well. I remember my time in the Marine Corps and it was some of the best years of my life.”
Hopefully, everything turns out fine in the end. And that is the most important thing to remember moving forward. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
