Jennifer Lawrence compared the experience of working with female directors to that of working with male ones by stating she has seen the latter throwing tantrums on movie sets.
Jennifer Lawrence Slams Male Directors-‘I’ve Seen The Biggest Hissy Fits Thrown On Set’
Lawrence expressed that it was remarkable to be in a setting where the toxic aspects of male dominance were absent, and she rejected the idea that females cannot be in control because they are too emotional.
In her comments, she said: “I’ve worked with Bryan Singer. I’ve seen emotional men. I’ve seen the biggest hissy fits thrown on set.”
When she compared her various projects, the Academy Award winner remarked that the production ran more smoothly when she collaborated with female directors.
This is entirely understandable if we were to compare her experience of working with Singer to that of other directors. After all, Singer has hardly covered himself in glory.
In the year 2019, it was alleged that he had participated in inappropriate behaviour with minors. Various people claiming to have endured sexual misconduct from the director shared their experiences.
While that may have been the case, Singer denied doing anything of the sort. With that being said, Jennifer praised female director Lila Neugebauer as being one the best that she has worked with.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “The schedule made sense. There were no huge fights. If an actor had a personal thing and wanted to leave early, instead of going, ‘Oh! Well, we’d all love to leave early!
“We’d put our heads together and go, ‘OK. How can we figure this out?'” The fans on social media, though, were equally condemnatory of Jennifer.
This was on the grounds they felt she was in no better position to say anything. One person wrote: “I heard that she gets into fits on set too.” It is fair to say that Lawrence’s comments did not go down well.
