JoJo Siwa appeared to accuse her former lover, Avery Cyrus, of attempting to benefit from her celebrity status when they were together, after the conclusion of their three-month relationship.

According to reports, Cyrus’ videos typically had an average of 1 million views. However, when Siwa made an on-screen appearance in Cyrus’ videos, the viewership increased drastically, ranging from 3.3 to 14.7 million.
Therefore, Siwa made it clear in no uncertain terms that she felt her status was being used in order for people to get more fame. In response to Siwa’s mother asking why she was despondent, this is what she had to say: “Because I got used, for views and for clout.
“I got tricked into being told I was in love and I got f**king played.” Despite this being the case, the impression from Cyrus was completely different.
Her reason for the break up suggested that they had different priorities going forward. Therefore, it would make sense for them to spend time apart in order for them to work on themselves.
And given that Cyrus did not appear to be too downbeat by it all, it has naturally led to Siwa’s reaction coming under more scrutiny.
In response to a fan who questioned whether the pair were still together, Cyrus remarked: “We decided that we are better off as friends! We are both so young and still just trying to figure our stuff out.”
The fans on social media were far from sympathetic towards Siwa. This was on the basis that her track record showed she was not capable of holding down a relationship.
And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal. One person wrote: “Jojo Siwa’s chaotic dating life is the only honest lesbian representation we have.” Time will tell how Siwa manages to move on from this moving forward.
