Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko Warns Citizens Of A Very Difficult Winter As People May Be Forced To Evacuate Due To Power Outages

Vitali Klitschko has alerted the public that a winter disaster could occur in Kiev if the Russian air assaults on Ukraine’s essential infrastructure persist.

Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko Warns Citizens Of A Very Difficult Winter As People May Be Forced To Evacuate Due To Power Outages

The mayor of Kiev declared that if the city becomes deprived of electricity, water, and warmth, then it may become impossible for people to continue living in their residences.

Klitschko advised people to get ready a stockpile of food and water, as well as to have clothes and all necessary paperwork accessible in the event of a power outage.

In his comments, he said:  “We are fighting and doing everything we can to make sure that this does not happen. If electricity supply continues to be absent while outside temperatures remain low, we will unfortunately be forced to drain water from buildings.”

However, he declared that there was no requirement for anyone to relocate since the city was only dealing with a 20 percent electricity deficiency and the situation still remained secure.

And yet, the conflict with Russia has taken its toll in other ways too. Klitschko reported that since the commencement of Russia’s war, 152 citizens of Kiev have been killed and 678 building structures have been wrecked.

And with so many lives being lost as a result of killings, as well as the consequences by way of extension, there was a feeling that something had to be done.

And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. One person wrote: “Why is no resolution still not trying to be found rather than it go on endlessly ?”

The longer this conflict escalates, then the more innocent people will suffer. That is why it is vital that a resolution can be brought as soon as possible.

Otherwise, if there is a situation where people have to evacuate, then that will only exacerbate existing tensions. And that cannot be a good thing whichever way you look at it.

So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
