Rumours have it that the couple are planning to ‘reach out’ after the ‘inevitable furore’ over the projects has subsided. However, insiders have questioned whether Prince William, who was exceptionally dismayed and displeased by Harry’s conduct, would be open to such a reconciliation.
A source said the following: “The trouble is when it comes to the Sussexes and these revenge projects that they are so hell-bent on, people are asking when will enough be enough?”
This is entirely understandable when we look at what the Netflix docuseries trailer showed. The clip strongly suggests that the Sussexes will directly address rumours about their troubled ties with senior royals.
Harry could be heard saying: “No-one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” while Meghan remarked: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
According to reports, the first half of the docuseries will be released on Thursday, 8th December 2022. Meanwhile, the second will be released a week later on December 15th.
In addition, there is also Harry’s upcoming memoir, Spare, that is set to come out in the New Year. And all of this has led to major question marks over whether the Sussexes really want to patch things up.
The source added: “It’s not unreasonable in the circumstances to ask whether they are even interested in repairing their relationships with the family.”
The fans on social media questioned the motives behind a potential reconciliation. A certain subset of people were of the view that this would only be done if there was a catch attached.
One person wrote: “Meghan wouldn’t ‘repair’ anything unless it was entirely to her benefit,” while another person stated: “Reach out” why ? Are they short of money?”
