During NXT Deadline, we would see a brawl between Diamond Mine & Toxic Attraction when the topic of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships came up. Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne would take offence to Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley being offered a title shot earlier in the night. Tonight, they meet in tag team action – with the winners likely getting the next shot at Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, who joined commentary for tonight’s match.
Katana Chance & Kayden Carter Get Involved After Having Ivy Nile Put In Their Laps
This would kick off with another brawl, with Dolin & Jayne sending Nile & Paxley to the floor – where Jayne hit a rolling senton before a PK off the apron from Dolin. Back in the ring, Nile would be isolated in the Toxic Attraction corner for some quick tag team offence. Dolin would slam Nile into the mat for a two count, before being dropped with some quick kicks.
This match would spill out to the floor, where Nile was thrown over the announce desk into the champions. Chance & Carter would throw hands with Dolin & Jayce, leading to the match being thrown out. We’d end up with a three team brawl, potentially setting up a triple threat match very soon.
Odyssey Jones Crushes Von Wagner With Ease
It’s time for a proper heavyweight clash in NXT. Von Wagner has gotten used to being the biggest man on the roster, never really having a chance to pick on somebody his own size. That all changed when Odyssey Jones would return from injury around a month ago. Following a match between Wagner & Malik Blade, Jones would show that he is ready to get physical once again, as he took Wagner down. Tonight, they meet one on one – and let’s just hope they’ve reinforced the ring.
Wagner would try to run Jones down with some shoulder tackles, but would be unable to make him budge. Jones would hit the Three Point Stance and run Wagner down, sending him to the apron before taking a punch to the side of the face. Wagner would change up his gameplan, coming off the top rope with a lariat to take him down.
A big boot to the face would be followed by a sliding lariat from Wagner, before locking in the Sleeper Hold. Jones would break free before catching Wagner with a World’s Strongest Slam. Robert Stone would run into the ring causing a distraction as he tried to save Wagner, allowing Blade to hit a dropkick to the face. Jones would hit a running crossbody splash, and this one was over.
Javier Bernal Refuses To Be Mocked By The Likes Of Ikemen Jiro
Last week on NXT, Ikeman Jiro would mock Javier Bernal. Tonight, Bernal intends to prove he isn’t scared of the likes of Jiro. This is the first match on TV for Jiro in months, having been relegated to NXT Level Up, and the King of Style Strong will be trying to make sure he doesn’t slip away again.
They’d lock up fast, with Jiro forced into the corner but avoiding a forearm smash. Bernal would have his wrist snatched, with Jiro working into a headlock. He would be shoved off the ropes and into a shoulder tackle, before hitting the jacket coated Shotei palm strike.
Bernal would be able to catch him with a running bulldog into a sliding lariat, getting a two count. Running back elbow smash would follow, sending Jiro to the floor – teased tossing him into the crowd and getting cocky by rolling Jiro into the ring.
Diving senton over the top rope from Jiro would follow, before some more Shotei palm strikes. A super rana would follow out of the corner, before the Ikemen Slice for the victory. Jiro gets a big victory, before being taken down by Scrypts who came out of nowhere before hitting the Molly Go Round.
Will Scrypts start claiming big wins in NXT soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
